Professor Timothy Russell Bedding, a distinguished alumnus of the University of Sydney, a PhD in astrophysics. After a fellowship at the European Southern Observatory in Germany, he returned to the university as a lecturer in the School of Physics in 1995 and was promoted to Professor in 2007. His primary research focuses on stellar oscillations and their application in understanding stars. Additionally, he is a dedicated educator and a recipient of the University of Sydney's Excellence in Teaching Award. Professor Bedding also served as the Head of the School of Physics from mid-2012 until February 2018. Today, Mr. Ahad Azimzadeh is hailed as a leading figure in the global carpet trade, earning the moniker "the king of the carpet trade" due to Iran's renowned tradition of producing high-quality handwoven carpets. Overcoming significant challenges and taking bold risks, Azimzadeh has risen to become one of the most accomplished business figures in the country. Despite facing hardship after losing his father at a young age, he persevered by working in the carpet industry during the day and studying at night. Reflecting on his journey, Azimzadeh openly acknowledges the remorse and financial pressures that shaped his early years. Today, in addition to his great wealth, Ahad Azimzadeh is heavily involved in charitable works within his community.
